Life after tonsils and adenoids
Ceilidh had her tonsils and adenoids out yesterday (for those of you who haven't read Chrissy's blog yet)and this is a photo of her in the hospital before the operation. She was so excited about the pajamas they gave her to wear. She was so great after the operation. A little weepy. Brad gave her a big hug and she started to cry saying "Daddy I think I'm having a really bad day". She's drinking well and taking her medication but she didn't sleep much at all last night and she's very swollen. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and well wishes - Ceilidh and all of us really appreciate it. Thanks especially to Chrissy for watching Noah yesterday while we were at the hospital and extra special thanks to Brad for being so great at the hospital and at home yesterday. I know Ceilidh was so glad you were with her at the hospital. I love you. This shot is of Ceilidh 24 hrs after the surgery - she has a fever and really doesn't want to drink but she is anyway. What a trouper. In the recovery room yesterday she was even singing to the other kids to "try and help them feel better". I pray the rest of this week and next week goes ok for her - I hate seeing her in so much discomfort. Oh well at least it wasn't Noah who had the tonsils out!!! That is still to come I guess. :-) M.

Sounds like Chrissy could learn a lesson from Ceilidh! :P But seriously it is amazing how spectacular she was. What a terrific kid!
I'm confused about something...no one has mentioned anything about ice cream. Isn't that why people get their tonsils out?
Ceilidh is so strong; she takes after you Michelle.
